LAST AND FINAL ROUND.


PERCH ROCK. 17/08/17. ROUND THREE.


The last go at the perch tonight
and an end too three days straight of fishing madness
we were in the dark wet and windy conditions again tonight
but it was still fishable and another good night was in store again

The pictures are not the best tonight
but you expect that in the rain and the dark
my second cast and first fish out to me was a starry smooth hound.



This was quickly followed by another starry smooth hound.



I then landed my first ramond of the night
it took the top hook and the other hook had a dab on it
making it feel better than it was.



Not long after that i took another starry smooth hound.



Carl then landed a thornback ray.



We were then hit by a good run of dog fish and dabs and whiting
i started too loose count
it was 6 dogs 5 dabs 3 whiting i think for me with carl taking similar
but the dogs never left carls bait alone for the rest of the night
they just kept popping out the river.



As the tide turned
things went all psicodelic by the looks of this picture
and i had another good sized thornback ray.





This was followed by another smooth hound.



With the tide now starting to pull fast
i had a good knock and a slack liner
this time i had a much better fish on
a nice double figer thornback ray
to end the night and three mad nights at the perch rock.





Well folks that is it i am goosed and all hounded out for this year
and it is time to start heading out the river
and back to wales in search of bigger fish

What a great 3 sessions, plenty of hounds and rays. Lucky you didn't loose your rod. Carbon rods and lightning don't mix very well. Three super reports and pictures and I bet your n-----ed and I am impressed with your stamina . I look forward to your next report.

Nice bit of Starfish Enterprise there..( get it..??) great result for you, the fuzzy pics gave the report a bit of atmosphere..!! Well in boys..!!
