Unbelievable night on the Gynn
The plan was to fish high at the Plaque but, its a long story, that fell through so I ended up on the Gynn at the Cable steps.
Got there as the water hit the wall armed with two rods 35 black from Tuesday and some maccy from the back of the freezer, and no expectations. Rigs used were a 1/0 loop rig and a 2/0 pennel. First cast with the loop rig and started to tackle the second rod up and noticed a slack liner resulting in this beauty about the 2lb mark.
Got the pennel in the water and this.
And thats how the night went every cast was at least one fish, even the pennel was taking double shots of Whiting and Dabs. I was sending worm out on second and third casts. All in all I think I ended up with 2 Codling around the 2lb mark, 7 doggies, about 25 Whiting and about 20 Dabs.
An unbelievable night but two things.
The first, the old guy fishing to my left was fishing close in while I was lashing it. He thought he had 25 Dabs, nothing else.
Second, I lost a good Huss on maccy at the steps. I couldn't go all the way down because of the tide size and it got pulled off the hook. There are good fish out there.
