Seaforth Beach 30/11/12
Met Mike B and Riffer at 4.30pm and made our way to the beach by the radar tower...when we reached the beach we walked as far to the right to where the first "metal man" was standing and walked straight out from there. The mud was only that sloppy ankle deep stuff...looking back you could line up that metal man against 2 blocks of flats,to give you a reference point for your return....whenever you are on a beach, particularly at low water, you should always look back for some sort of reference point
Anyway back to the fishing...we set up around 150 yds from the rocks and launched frozen lug/squid cocktails in to the channel...after an hour Chris had a good pull down and a slack liner on his crab filled squid bait, but sadly did`nt connect Shortly afterwards i had a nice codling of 2-2-0
Mike took a flounder and dab, while Chris had a couple of whiting....10 mins after low water saw my rod bouncing and after a spirited fight i landed a better fish of 4-2-0...
A dab followed but no more cod action....after a fantastic keeeeebab we headed to Hall Rd where we met Our Mike...the venue lived up to it`s name with not an offer for any of us.....crackin` night to be on the beach, with not a breath of wind...did`nt think that would effect the fishing at the radar but it would be a different story at Hall rd,which turned out to be true....til the next time
