Thanks for posting up this info Shane :thumb: Seems a more sensible arrangement than the total RSA ban in conjunction with an increase in commercial quota if the bass stock can take it? I'd be happy to see a 5 year commercial ban followed by a hook and line only fishery until such time as stocks were flourishing sufficiently to allow a truly sustainable annual harvest. But there's about as much chance of getting common sense in fisheries policy as there is in getting it in Brexit :box:

Cheers Shane :thumb: I suspect that there'll be a full rundown on the NWIFCA site? It was the pair trawlers that targeted the spawning aggregations that did the real damage in the past. Unfortunately on the Fylde we find so called 'privateer' nets allegedly fishing non commercially in areas like the North Run and Grannies Bay :banghead: I reported on here a few years back about the local Chinese restaurateurs and their activities but the truth is that the police aren't interested and IFCAs are in reality toothless - they found it easier to approach RSA's at boat launch sites and busier shore venues than dealing with large scale poaching during out of office hours :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
