Rossall
My quest for first cod continues fished off the beach tonight.loads of rods out.was tropical out there tonight.had 7 small smaller and tiny whiting plus a dogfish but alas no cod.the bloke next to me had a thorny.was an enjoyable evening in barmy autumn weather.am getting to like this global warming but I think it's no good for the codling.

Re: Rossall
Tough on not catching a cod but at least you managed to find a few tings , perhaps there may be one or two cod on the next big tides.

Re: Rossall
Like you, I'm still trying to catch my first cod of this year. I had a ride along the Gynn wall at 5 pm on Friday evening (just before high tide) and I spoke with several men fishing well to the north of the go-cart track. Two men had caught in-size cod...one each...then on Saturday afternoon the man fishing the ebb tide next to me on the Wyre channel caught an under-size codling. There are a few around...and lots more to come...hopefully
