fished here against my better judgement as father was going with his mate . thought just might get lucky before the tide runs like a train and the weed started.. however , the tide never got going like it should of done on such a big tide and the weed was present but no problem .
held bottom a good chuck out with black and razorfish which produced 4 decent whiting and a 2lb 4oz codling so got one at least.

Good stuff! just shows sometimes it can pay off to go against the considered wisdom, plus you got lucky with the weed too, that's a tidy little session
90 minutes either side of HW would be do-able as well on a massive tide I would imagine, worthwhile if you're local but no good for the likes of me

2014, species, codling, whiting, dab, blenny, flounder, bass 41cm, thornback ray on lrf tackle in morecambe bay off the shore. smoothound in heysham. plaice 2lb 1oz nasty weaver.
