Great prize Steve
You can increase your blanking chances by always having a rod in the car to use now
I'm very envious, enjoy it mate! You certainly put in the hours and reports.

March Fishing report Comp - WINNER
Well amid a throng of paparazzi and newshounds ( not related to smooth hounds) I fought my way into Gerrys this morning to collect my prize...
I had previously liaised with Mr Sam Hamblett, ( acting managing director and generally thin guy..) and had decided not to receive the rod, ( which was tricky as apparently it was off a good blank so I felt drawn to it ...) instead , as I wanted to try using braid for a change, I opted for a Shakespeare 60FD Agility fixed spool beach reel. This comes well reviewed, and has a spare spool. Paying a bit extra to it, Mr Hamblett ( acting managing director and generally thin guy..)very kindly filled it up for me with some braid. Advice given re use of same line: shock leaders etc, a spool of new line for the other spool and job done. Bring on next week and some better weather to get out for a play, I feel a blank busting session coming on.....!!! Big thanks as ever to Gerry's for the prize, and to Sam for his assistance this morning.
Picture of the presentation this morning in front of a packed house of 2,4,& 6oz leads...
