Manorhouse fishery Nateby 13/11/11

So I got up early to go fishing again and try the new Reel, needed to get a good scrap out of a fish on the centrepin as all the anglers who use them swear by them.
nice morning but a strong easterly wind was going to spoil things for a while, fished pond 3 again and ended up with plenty of these on caster

fished from the 1st peg as you go into the pond.
also had lots of these little smell scrawny,

but best of all had 6 nice good fighting carp all prime fish.

some fatter than others but all in all great sport and fun.

My mate Steve was into some cracking Roach but didn't manage a carp,

I fished with meat, corn pellet, prawn and caster but the prime bait today was castor.
I took the kitchen sink but didn't end up using it today, LOL

Like the reel its totally different to fixed spool fishing as you can let the fish pull line while you use your thumb as a clutch.

No but I do enjoy a scrap with a good course rod and a centrepin. The tip is my favourite method to be honest and of course the pole
