Last day- Staffin Bay
Fished Staffin Bay today. The wind was very strong from the South West which was slightly offshore.
Found a nice flat bit of rock near to a place called the pinnacles. I tried a few lures but a weighted eel imitation fished from the bottom did the trick. I had 4 nice Pollock two of which just couldn't be stopped from diving into the kelp. A wait with slack line for a couple of minutes freed things up. The largest was just over 51cm and would weigh between three and four pounds. I was almost blown off the rock by the wind a couple of times and when the sideways rain came it was time to go. It was my final session on the island but I have learned a lot. The deep rock marks that I know of have been unfishable due to strong winds. I think that when I come back it will be in summer, when, I believe, the fishing is better.

You've had an interesting angling adventure Billbob Shame the conditions ruled out some of the marks you had in mind but you've gained some valuable info for future visits and managed some lovely fish
