Hell Hath No Fury At Fleetwood
Do you ever get this feeling your weekend will not fall in to plan.....? This was it....!
On Saturday morning I went to pick the bait up from my local tackle shop. As I walked in the door, was informed NO crab....that was us knackered for the channel No fresh black either, so I settled for frozen black.
Forward 24 hours....I just set off in the car and it started raining. I arrived at Fleetwood and met up with millsy. we sat in the car having a natter and in my mirror I saw the dreaded Dredger. Last time this was out we had a nightmare with the weed it churned up
Bagger Barnes was next to show face, along with Willpower & Rawley, JP and his friend (sorry forgot name)....That brought us to seven
We headed down the beach and picked our pegs.
Bagger was nearest to the jetty, then JP and his friend...
Millsy was as ever a joy of happiness..
Me, then Rawley & Willpower (nice to meet you guys)
We began fishing, the dredged up weed had us winding in all the time, it was near impossible. If you do go fishing there and see this boat working in front of the knott end ferry terminus....DON'T BOTHER, try somewhere else...
This is what we had to put up with..
After an hour bagger let out a small squeal, he had landed a small flounder, a little later another. Approaching half-time a mega squeal......He had managed an insize fish..
Eventually the rain let up, I was soaked, though the sun soon had me drying out. Millsy had seen enough weed for today and packed up. The rest of us endured the nightmare.
Rowley looked to have something on, turned out to be a lot of weed..
JP & friend we sneaking in some micro flounder..
Willpower also had his camera out, what else was there to do..?
We fished on to the end, though in vain, the day had turned out to be nice..
But that was all
Bagger had won the day and also won the old codgers Trophy, it has made his day and I am very pleased for him Gutted for the rest of us.

Nice to meet up with the 3 amigo's and JP (+1). As shacky said, the conditions were challenging with wind, rain, sun & weed. But both Willpower & myself had a good day out.
