Gynn Wall HW 17/11

Postby MartonPete » 17 Nov 2015, 20:31

Was 'Working' from home today, but by 11am, I could not resist looking at the weather forcasts and hightide times... Well you have to take some advantages now and again!
So with a drop in the winds co insiding with the run up to high tide, out to the freezer it was for some black and squid.
Getting my self ready, I was not expecting the following converstation with my 3 year old...

"What you doing?" he asked
"daddy is going fishing for a bit"
"me too?" he replied in a heart beat.
While looking at the black clouds looming and knowing the winds were going to pick up "its going to rain, little man, you would not like it today"
With a face of 'please don't say no', that only toddlers can pull off, he replied... "Its just rain daddy!!"

I could not have been happier or proud; I have my very own addict :cheer: :champ:

So off to Gynn wall we went and like the others are saying, the weather was bad in sections but fishable inbetween the downpours.

An hour and half before high we managed to get the first Dab,

followed by a whiting of 26cm and then a second Dab.

We were happy with our 1.5hr session and called it time about 20 mins before high as the waves had just started to come over the wall in some areas.
For me it was not the amount of fish or type of fish I caught today, but the fact my youngest was rewarded for his efforts in getting out there.

Great ,you can never start the minis too young. Your fishing days might never be the same again ??? but they will be your best for a good few years. Well done on catching a few.
