Gynn permits

Postby tarmacduck » 28 Aug 2016, 23:16

I am led to believe that some vans are given permits. If I remember correctly on the form it says the max is 1500 kg,my van wieghs 1750 kg (Renault trafic swb). This seems crazy when many large cars or even 4x4's must wiegh far in excess of this. Am I reading it wrong ?

Cheers John I applied for a permit a while ago they send you a quite detailed form to fill in. My last van a mwb, med height transit was a biggish van to fair but my new one is no bigger than most people carriers.

I got a form about 3 years ago, but as my camper is just this side of 3 tonnes, I didn't bother sending it in.
I'll still not bet able to get one even with the new limit.
