Cleveleys weds 4th

Fished between the Vue and 5 bar gate
Fished 4 hours up 2 down
1 rod with big crab bait
1 rod with mixed bluey sandeel squid
Big baits for rays bass hounds
was a lovely evening sea had a good edge on it.
2nd cast bang rod bent over nearly shot of the rest hit it.fish on.
Bang good fish on could feel it knocking and moving up and down the tide this is a good fish.
reeling pumping waded out to my waist there was a bank in front of me I was fishing in a deep gully.Had it on then thud fish off Gutted.
Did not have another bite till half hour before high then 2 doggys and a Codling then that was it nothing after high.
Was a slow night. Could not sleep thinking what that fish was GUTTED.

Great report Andy I would put money on your lost fish as either a Bass or Smoothound, shame it got off. It's awful when you don't see the fish, but there's always next time.
