ANOTHER GOOD SESH

I had nothing planned today , so i decided to go back the mariners today and fish it from 3pm to 7pm .When i arrived there was a couple of anglers fishing the knuckle so i went down to my usual spot . I got talking to a angler call Steve , he told me he"s Supplied Gerrys with crab and he came all the way from Cumbria and it took him about three hour to get to the mariners . He said he"s never fished the mariners before. So i said i would show him how to fish it . His first was a nice size flounder then he was pulling in plenty of whiting . I was having a good sesh with penty of whiting . The biggest 36cm and a few codling . Aout a hour before high water i changed over to running pennels with size 3/0 hooks baited with lug wrapped in squid .then cast them out . I went over to Ste and told him to change his rigs over and try and catch a thornie . He said he"s never had a ray . About half hour later he got his first ray . He couldn"t stop shaking with excitement . Well done steve . By the end of the sesh i had 11 whiting 2 codling and 2 thornies one 4lb and the other 9lb . Had another great sesh
