Anglesey day 4

Postby Pickles10 » 02 Aug 2017, 09:54

Went to lligwy beach yesterday.fished let.sea dead calm so not ideal.didn't get one bite so went to find somewhere less exposed and went to a lovely little cove called porth eilan.near amlwch.fished off the rocks with float and rag as bait.had 2 wrasse.missed a third.by the time I had realised my float had disappeared the fish had legged it behind a rock so lost my gear.only use a light spinning rod off the rocks so is great sport best results fishing deep then went to cemaes in evening had 2 Pollock and 2 wrasse.weather was great and found another little gem of a cove.decided to have a snorkel earlier to look at where I was fishing.crystal Clearwater about 20 ft deep.no wonder so much tackle lost off these rocks.
Think I will stick to the float when off rocks less chance of losing gear if am quick enough photos are beach lligwy

I've had a few blanks on Lligwy this summer, the only time I got there when there was some surf, the weed made it almost impossible to fish.
