a great evening at rossall
Fished with bob (couchy) at chatsworth slope. we started 3 hours before high and without giving too much away it was a very good night, Bob will put his own report on, I think he deserves that much. Here is how it went for me, We planned this session after fishing last week because we wanted to have a go at the codling that we were catching late on that night, and we had to go . The codling didn't turn up but we weren't disapointed with what did, I kicked off with a tope pup, then a good pull down resulted in a 3lb smoothie. A first for me, caught on lug. The sky was black but we didn't get any torrential rain. We came away 1hour after high, well pleased. see bobs report .

Congratulations Hughie there's not been many smoothies from the shore this year so far, so well done pal I bet you thought it was a big bass though eh? it's a nice bonus to get your first smut instead
You've got me intrigued now with Couchy's impending report, my hunch is a good bass or big smut Ooooooh the anticipation!
