5 Bar gate 5/12/12

Postby stevenlisa24 » 05 Jan 2013, 19:01

Met up with Tommy and Marc at 0830 at 5 bar gate.

walked out cast in and tommy pulled in a flounder safely returned to fight another day. I was next with a flounder foul hooked but i'm taking it.

Tommy had another flounder and returned and then i did.

Low was around 1045 and we fished the flood. But some people do make me so mad. The tide is flooding in and a family start flying a kite right behind me. Of all the beach they stand right behind me at one point they were that close i could have stood on the kite line.

Anyway they must have realised i was getting close to showing their kite how sharp my filleting knife was as they pee'd off further up the beach.

we fished till an hour after high water. Tommy had a whiting and the baits were at times being stripped and i'm sure i lost a big un!

any way a little downtroden but at least i never blanked.

cheers
steve

I had six kayakers splashing and shouting in my canal swim today just after I'd missed a pike and was recasting. They proceeded to haul out and disappear up to the pub.

Bad behaviour tars everyone. I know they weren't kayaking anglers!

Good effort fellas, sounds like you had an eventful afternoon despite the lack of cod :fish: i once caught a 4lb silver birch log/branch, it put a superb fight up in the tide.....it tasted a bit woody when filleted though.... ;)

thanks for the report :gp:
