Barmston Beach

Postby ozzie ozzie1 » 26 Mar 2024, 10:28

Had a nice breakaway at Barmston beach caravan park, be rude not to take my rods
1st session was a low water one and a very short one due to it going dark.
I ended up with 10 rockling in a 1 hr session.
2nd visit was only supposed to be for 2hrs but ended up just short of 4hrs.
Fished 1 1/2 before high and tried a bit bait far out and small bait mid range.
Nothing for 20mins , so decided to cast shorter in , seems it was the right decsion.
ended up with 14 flounders, 1 plaice , 2 whiting , and 15 plus rockling
Got rid of the bug bait rig and fished that mid range , which picked up a few fish but the close in rod did the most
2 or 3 hook flappers , squid and black lug did the business came off the beach happy but knacjered
