Trying again Gynn 21/6

Postby Sir Humphrey Rtd » 22 Jun 2021, 13:52

To celebrate the longest day headed down to the Gynn for the third evening in succession, weather was behaving as forecast this time with light easterly breeze and cloudy conditions.

Bait again was peeler, rag and black with a mackerel for tipping.

First cast produced the first fish, weever taking crab at distance.

Next cast at distance produced a tope pup again on crab

Next cast lost a good smoothound at the trying to get it up the wall :banghead: :banghead: to far from slip or steps to take it for a walk

But beautiful evening and looked like building for a stunning sunset

Next up I had a Gurnard again at distance (only rod that seemed to be producing) again on crab.

Finally as it started the ebb the mid distance rod produced with 2 sole (best at 30cm) both on rag.

And what about the sunset I hear you ask, well just as the sun was setting the cloud rolled in on the horizon, if you look carefully you can just see a bot of red

But a nice evening to be out and now we wait to see what Wednesday morning brings.

Unlucky Bryan on the loss of the hound, but other than that a good session with a nice mix of fish.
