Tronix Pulley Bead Issue

Postby Willpower » 06 May 2021, 16:31

Bought some Tronix pulley beads last year and maybe used one 6 times till last Wednesday when tackling up something didn't feel right. The line was jerky when passing through the bead. Closer inspection revealed that the rig line had worn into the bead.
I've also got some Breakaway pulley beads that I've had for a couple of years and they are still performing fine.
So, I would advise 'binning. (as I have done) Tronix beads and either use the Breakaway or just a swivel, which does the same job a lot cheaper.

Sorry about the state of my hands, but that worm juice is taking some time to shift, even the Domestos is struggling!

Used them a lot Mike, no problems except one of the rigs hadn't been used for a while the swivel was seized. But in the main they're are good.
