RULES. FOR THE 2022 SPECIES HUNT.

It is customary for the winner of the event to run it the following year and don't enter that year. If you win and are not that computer literate, someone may run it for you. But you will still be excluded that year.

No.1.
Print off your card from the link provided when it has been made available.
Then PM the organiser for your entry number and you will be added to the list.
When you receive your number print it on your card along with your name or user ID.
Your numbers will also be in the list of names in the first post on this thread.

No.2.
Photograph your fish together with your card and post the picture in the saltwater species hunt section. As in the example below..

Make sure the picture and card are clear and in good focus.
Also include the date name of the species, where the fish was caught and number you are up to in the post.
Try and keep all your fish in one thread under the title
of your, ["name and 2022 hunt"], in the salt water section only.

Here is an example of what we want to see..

(No 1....29/08/20....Gynn Wall.... Rockling)
(No 2 .. / .. / .. , ------------------
(No 3. .. / .. / .. , ------------------
And so on.

No.3.
The geographical area for the hunt is the north west region coast line, from the river Dee /Mostyn Quay/dock to the South and to the north river Esk/ Port Carlisle.
No fish caught outside the boundary areas can be entered.

No.4.
If you catch something out of the ordinary, please try to also take a photo with your surroundings to maintain integrity.
Show the fish clearly if identification is needed especially with under sized juvenile fish.
example. starry smooth hound/common smooth hound
We need to see the stars or if it does not have them etc clearly visible.
To save confusion all Gobies will be classed as ONE Species.
Also, all Species of Rockling, will be classed as a Rockling.
Ling will count as a separate species.

No.5.
The competition will run until midnight 31st December 2022.
The winner will be announced on the 1st January 2023.

No.6.
Shore caught sea fish only, this means no boats to be used and no fresh water fish.
No fish can be added caught from any Private Land or area needing a pass/permit or membership to fish that location. An example of this would be Blackpool piers.
ALL Docks are NOT permitted.

No.7.
Pictures of the fish and card that have been deleted or removed or disappeared from you list of fish, will be void from your count, unless previously verified by the organiser.
If you have any doubt about the identification of a fish, contact the organiser submitting a picture for verification.
Please leave your pictures up to view until 2022 Hunt ends. This just helps if problems do occur.

No.8.
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to PM the organiser and they will endeavour to assist you.

No.9.
At the end of every month, the organiser will post the positions and total fish count scores of the competitors in this thread for further reference.

No10.
Any angler found to be in breach of these rules will be excluded from the hunt.

No11.
The Angling Addicts board has final say on this 'Fun Event'

Have Yourselves a great time. Be SAFE and tight lines.

We now need names of all people who wish to enter the 2022 Species hunt.
TurboT will be running the show this year.
Then we can notify Gerrys and get the hunt card image and get the ball rolling.

All yours Mr T.
