No Sniggering At The Back

Postby TurboT » 20 Sep 2021, 17:42

With the forecast for a luverly day I needed to get after a fish which has eluded me all year.
Usually I bump into one somewhere but not this year.
Two failed target attempts on the Wyre........blanked :groan:
Still not giving up , I headed for Sandside and New Barns, to check the lay of the land and the ......sand.

Yep it's still there and the channel is conveniently close in.

Super looking day and with one or two anglers already appearing, I moved swiftly on to New Barns.

The second siren had just sounded, so I was 'just in time'.

The start of the bore.

With bit's of frozen this and that, I was hopeful of snagging my target.

Things were slow and I'd only one small flounder to show for it :thumb:
Well it would have been for show if I'd have checked the camera had clicked. :blah: :blah: :blah:

However, just before HW and one small 'snake' is wriggling on the bank.

Happy days Target in the bag :victory:

Now, sit still for the picture

Gotcha :victory:

That was it, at least it was a pleasant day with super scenery. Oh yes, another tick in the hunt box.
