Mersey Friday 14th

Fished the Mersey 3hrs up to high water Friday morning, only a small tide so didn't expect much but it was fish from the of, finished up with 12 Whiting 2 small Codling ( 9 inch ) and a Rockling, I took 6 Whiting home for the pan, the best 2 were 32cm and the other 4 were 26 to 28cm, all the fish were caught on frozen black tipped with squid, it was a bit cold early doors and there were no other anglers out, I had the place to myself, back home for 10 30 for a fry up
