Hi Ian, I was near the end of the Gynn wall but was late getting there.
Question ! is that a 3 bearded or a shore Rockling as both have three barbels ? I know it's not a five bearded as I have caught them before.

The 5 Beards are usually called Shore rockling. They have 2 smaller barbules just above their top lip and quite often they are laid flat against their skin, which can make them hard to see. As in one i caught today..



Now and again you will get a full compliment of barbs on show..



3 Beards tend to be "Rock" Rockling. Which are usually a larger, lighter coloured fish..



I can't say what your fish is from the picture.
