Eppingynn Forest...<º))))><

Postby shacky » 11 Oct 2021, 20:10

Down the Gynn on sunday, reports from the previous day had us all chomping at the bit. Thornies, Doggies and all the other critters swimming about.
There was one, and not long after, two problems...Number 1..the wind had changed from a S/W to a NNW direction. In short it usually kills the fishing, rods set up facing south..

The usual faces showed up. Mr & Mrs Roberts..

Rambo, Baz & Bryan..

Paul was here too and Jagbob beyond the slip. We were observing the tide pushing up the beach with a lot of wood in tow. We cast out and soon became apparent, most of the session would be trying to aviod the debis in the sea, latching onto our lines. horribilis is the only word to describe our day :(
After a while, the over the wall rig produced the usual Spots..

Image

The sea of logs was not giving up on us..

Image

Most people had to wait for the tide to slacken for a bit of fishy action. Fish started to come in all around me ??? I managed my smallest Smoothound this year..

Image

THAT WAS IT !!!!!....Number 2..All the years i have been fishing. I have never seen so much wood floating by. It was a forest out there :sos:
Glad to say that everyone we know caught fish...Those Thornies DON'T like wood ;)
