When wind blows from East. Gynn............
.............................Fishes the least.
Today was our biggie match, so i expected a few more anglers. When i got to St Stephens i was shocked to see Austin, Just like Mr Powers appears from nowhere. Willpower and Rowley rolled up, followed by Bagger. Some of us waited until after the nine o'clock deadline for stragglers.
Getting down the wall, Paul was set up ready to go. Cosierat arrived a little later, due to waiting for the tackle shop to open. Sir Humphrey popped along for a natter, who was fishing a little further on with Baz.
Tarmacduck also showed face as he was fishing Dazs' match. We ended up with a full length of the wall, all poeple knowing each other.
It was blooming freezing down there today. A few of the guys catching up on the gab..
It turned out to be a pack meeting..
As the match started, sand was still visible and i lobbed into the water just beyond, sat back with a cup of soup and waited.
Was that a bite!....left it until my alloted wind in time. A small suprise started the day..
That had everyone else on the hunt for fish. Bagger was hungry for the win (£100) today and set the rest of us on the insize fish alert..
For me a double was next.....doh!..Too small..
I smacked one out to sea. Eventually a small bite on a rod bent right over with the strong tide, my reward..
Not to be out done, bagger returned with another..
Paul landed dab also and Cosierat got some action..
And was back again soon after..
Paul was giving it his best..
Austin couldn't get command of the fish today, but kept at it..
Our line of anglers, with cheeky, you know who, getting in the shot..
By high water, the fishing had been poor. The ebb? could it be worse..
It was, with just a couple of small dab. It was that damned cold i could not even be bothered with the camera.
Blackworm was best bait with the smaller the hook the better. Down the side or on the horizon the fish were. Nothing in the middle. Well done Bagger, £100 for a new car battery
