Met up with Ian and Rugbydanny99 at the ths sat, got there 3 hours before high to get a decent spot, quite a few rods out. Kicked of with 3hook flapper 1/0 circle hooks on one rod, and 3 hook clip down rig size 1/0 Aberdeens, on the other, bait, lug, squid, bluey and mackeral. Fishing rather slow, Ian scored 1st with a tope pup(I chucked it back before he got a photo, got slagged off for the rest of the session)High tide arrived 1st bite resulted in a small plaice then nothing Danny lost a decent hound gutted, Ian caught a decent dab. Ian went to look at a new car, after 3 hours into the ebb still hoping another hound might have a go, called it a draw, loaded his bike and off he went. I put away one rod the fine rain started, reeled my other rod in, big clump of weed on the bottom hook, grabbed hold of the line shook the weed off, in the middle of the weed was the dreaded weever dropped it quicker than a hot poker (close call) but another one for the hunt went to get the train home.mk
