No photo, but whilst Rowley and myself were fishing the other night we had a excellent view of the bird coming towards and flying over us at low water.

There’s a pair hunting in lytham area mike and I’ve seen one roosting on a church spire in lytham whilst working last week there’s also one that I call the naze peregrine that hunts along the ribble some think it could be nesting on st Warburgs in Preston which is possible ......They don’t have their own particular territory to hunt pairs will criss cross each other’s hunting territory and most small prey will be taken from as far away from the nest as 6 km+ so it could have been the naze peregrine ....Always a great sight

Great to see! There was a pair nesting in the White Church tower at Fairhaven. Not sure if they still do? My garden gets regular visits from a sparrow hawk which is also great to see Good info Shane

Been on a site up at cleveleys today, 2 perrigrins chasing racing pigeons. Seemed to be working together 1of the hawks scattered the birds the other gave chase diving from a great height.they can shift.

Must have been a great sight Paul Just learned that they are related to parrots, have nasal baffles allowing them to breathe at speed and have a shortened gut for more speed on the wing. Amazing what you can learn on late afternoon TV

Didn't realise they were there until they started calling to each other. But you're right they fantastic to watch.

Watch for the male dropping food as the female flys up to meet him Paul they also do this with their juveniles when they leave the nest it’s a noisy affair you can’t miss it but it does give you a clue as they have paired up or the young have left the nest
