Here is a vid I put together from a recent solo trip on my own boat. I catch some bait and then anchor on a wreck and fish for conger eels. I catch some nice fish and hopefully there will be a few tips in there for you aswell.

Nice vid mate. I picked up a nice tip about the muppet protecting the hook length. I am on Skye at the moment and planning to fish for conger at one of the marks. Wish I had brought some muppets now.

I also use a bit of lumi strip sometimes. Check out my conger rig making vid for a few hints and tips. Although I am making them to fish from a boat, a running ledger is the same from shore or boat.

Thanks for the positive feedback mate. I really do enjoy fishing for eels. The can give you some great sport and there are some real bruisers out there. ;)

:thumb: Top video John. I take it that you make your own conger traces similar to the video about making hom3 made wrecking rigs using 200lb mono.

Inspirational ma8!

I do make all my own rigs mate, I’ve done a little vid specifically on the conger traces I make. I use the wrecking rigs when the tide is dropping and I’m right smack on top of the wreck or when there’s lots of little fish around so I can keep a better feel on what’s happening.
