YOU WILL REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING TO TAKE PART -
... • A DIGITAL CAMERA WITH TIME/DATE FUNCTION AND A REMOVEABLE MEMORY CARD. SD OR MICRO SD MEMORY CARDS ARE PREFFERED
•A SAMF REGISTERED FISH MEASURE.
• GOOD TIME KEEPING. IF YOU RUN OVER YOUR 6 HOUR TIME LIMIT YOU WILL BE DISQULIFIED

Match Rules
• Shore only. No coarse or game fish including Salmon, Trout & European eel.
• Entry is £15 per person
• Longest flat fish. Prizes 1st – 5th No species exceptions. Please note, All Rays are Sharks and are not accepted in this category but will be accepted in the Longest Shark category.
• Longest round fish prizes. 1st – 5th Congers are accepted
• Longest shark. Prizes 1st – 3rd. This includes any member of the Shark family. E.g. Dogfish, Bull huss, Tope, Smoothound.
• 6 hour match.
• Booking in at the start and end of the match is at Gerrys of Morecambe.
• Booking in is from 9AM. Once booked in your 6 hour time limited has started. You have to be back and checked in within the 6 hours or you are disqualified. Your return time will be given to you when you check in. IF YOU ARE LATE BACK YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
• Latest finish time is 4PM regardless if you start After 10AM so don’t be late.
• Please come as early as possible to check in. We will have a lot of people to get through.
• CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY. All fish need to be photographed with –
- the date and time on the camera. (digital camera required)
- The picture needs to be taken in good light and in focus
-The fish should be photographed immediately after capture, and be visibly alive and fresh. Any fish deemed suspect will be disqualified.
- On a SAMF registered measure
- With your Match Card in the picture and in focus. (this will be provided when you check in)
• ANY PICTURES DEEMED UNSATISFACTORY OR ALTERED WILL BE DISQUALIFIED NO EXCEPTIONS
• Distance. Arnside to Sunderland Point but your required to be back by 4PM if you are late you will be disqualified.
(please note. Fishing behind Heysham power station is now a criminal offence. No fish taken from this area will be accepted)
• Penn points available for longest overall length for the 3 categories (single fish for each category). i.e. 45cm Flat + 60cm Round + 100cm Shark = 205cm Length
1st - 20 points
2nd - 19 points
3rd - 18 points
• Any bait is permitted
• 1 rod only
• Prizes and prize money. It is dependent on how many people turn up but we expect the maximum available to 1 winner will be around £1000. Please note, not all prizes will be monetary and some will be fishing tackle.
• ENTRY FEE IS NON REFUNDABLE
• GERRYS OF MORECAMBE RESERVED THE RIGHT TO AMMEND ALL DETAILS PRIOR TO THE MATCH. ALL FINAL RULES WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU ON CHECK IN. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A DISCLAIMER ON CHECK IN

Sam can I just check on times- it reads as though its 8 am on for booking in but fishing starts at 10 and ends at 4. Is it the same as the warmup where if they book on at 8 they fish 6 hours then book back IN at 2 at the latest or is the fishing a set time 10-4 and everyone just wanders back after 4?

I think what I was aiming at was - its easy to run a 10-4 on a pegged venue where you can check everyone's stopped at 4pm,on a rover people can wander back at 4.40 and say 'sorry mate I was at Arnside'

That's why I asked is it 6 hours from checkin to checkin Most will read the nice BIG WRITING on the poster then miss the little stuff - mebbe I'm looking for banana skins where there are none but from experience if there's a slight chance for somebody to be a bit blonde they WILL!!

Nope thanks for asking if your asking others will be wondering, you can book in between 8-10am you get 6 hours fishing time

book in at 0802 then you are required to be back by 1402 at the latest, if you are late you will be disqualified.

That's cool Sam,the 10-4 on the poster just kinda throws a little,the fine print clears it up but there will be a few doofusses (doofii???) turn up thinking they have to wait til 10 to cast in.

Hope it fills up completely,paying £15 up front should ensure not too many book in then don't come, be good to have a couple of hundred out,busy everywhere though

Time will only tell, prob is no upfront fee's hard to sort that, but hopefully those who say they are coming will do, we are basically opening the doors to anyone and everyone.
