Went down today to Gerrys to see if I could get a shiny new reel to go with my shiny new rod... Gentlegiant said the shop was closed (correct) but that he would let the boys know I was going..(incorrect) However, managed to find the side door, (it was just at the side...) and was welcomed by Chris. Told him why I was there, and he made me welcome. I was initially after a Shakespeare Salt FS reel as the write ups and price was right..?? But after we discussed it I went for the Shimano BeastMaster which looks and feels lots better... (Wall image is important..)
I was also after a tripod as the one I bought in 1973 was showing slight signs of wear..?? An Imax 4' to 7' fits the bill, and fits in the car, so that too went in the carrier bag... Good chat after with Chris re local marks etc.

Got in at 4 am after dropping kyle off then up at 730, your right though I can't these days

Can't understand these lads eh..?? I mean, I managed to get up for 10.30 today to go to the shop for me stuff...??

Hardly a tackle tart Tel, aint used me sea gear for yonks till this year end. Most of the rods and reels have instructions in Latin..!!! Catch up time..!!!:-)
