Cheers Chris;
Went down today to Gerrys to see if I could get a shiny new reel to go with my shiny new rod...??? :cheer: :cheer: Gentlegiant said the shop was closed (correct) :thumb: but that he would let the boys know I was going..(incorrect) :crazy: However, managed to find the side door, (it was just at the side...) :doh: :doh: and was welcomed by Chris. Told him why I was there, and he made me welcome. I was initially after a Shakespeare Salt FS reel as the write ups and price was right..?? :thumb: But after we discussed it I went for the Shimano BeastMaster which looks and feels lots better... :D :D :D (Wall image is important..) :fishing:
I was also after a tripod as the one I bought in 1973 was showing slight signs of wear..?? :black: An Imax 4' to 7' fits the bill, and fits in the car, so that too went in the carrier bag... ;) ;) Good chat after with Chris re local marks etc. :fish:
Much appreciated Gerry's well in!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Now how does it go......"Well love, it was such a good offer..??" ...."Best price I've seen..??" Ouch ouch.... :box: :box: :box:
