I decided on another go at the same spot, tried to take Shackys advice but couldn't get any crab so went with Black and squid hoping the crabs would find it harder to get off the hooks. That part of the plan worked with baits lasting 15 mins. and I was able to cope with 2 rods. Unfortunately the result was the same, but at least I was able to try out my new Imax telescopic tripod which seemed fine albeit in fairly gentle conditions. I am not keen on the curved rod holders and will change them for some 'V' shaped ones that I have.

Off to Cleveleys next week, things can only get better.

Frustrating Pros If the weather is right then there should be codling to be had at or around Cleveleys. You're overdue a good session having put the effort in mate
