Cymyran Bay Sat Morning

Went in search of a small eyed ray before going on my hols but on arrival the sea looked a bit too lively.
Atmos shot
Had a couple of casts in the bay to start but huge clumps of kelp put paid to that so I moved to the main beach which was clear of weed.No signs of life until 90 mins before high when a little turbot got me off the mark.An hour before high saw me move back to the bay in the hope that the weed would have gone and on my second cast I had a couple of good pulls and it was game on....finally found that elusive bass of 5-11-0....heart stopping stuff as it raced up and down the beach when close in....quick pic and it swam off strongly....left just after high on a high.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Well done on the bar of silver and turbot!!! it looks as if there may be one or two nice fish about for early next week I,ve been keeping an eye on the forums to see what the prospects are going to be like as myself and a friend are travelling down to Caernarfon on Sunday for 3 days of worm drowning.
We should arrive hopefully around 3pm get booked into the Travelodge grab a bite to eat then hit the beach at Dinas Dinelle armed with some worm and peeler crab I hope there,s something about maybe a huss as it on my hit list then on Monday we,ll try our luck on the island I have been looking at having a drive up to Cymyran bay so your escapades have made me more determined to give it a go.
Thanks for a great report and I look forward to giving it a go!!!!
Tight Lines and STAY SAFE!
