Cable bay yesterday

I fished Cable Bay yesterday, it is about 30 years since I was last at this spot. The first thing that caught me out was that I had to pay for parking, after turning out my pockets and looking under the car seats I managed to find 3 pound coins which entitled me to stay for 4 hours. This obviously includes the walk out and setting up and the walk back.
The forecast was for overcast and light rain but this turned out to be quite bright sunshine for most of the time, this along with the east wind did not bode well.
I normally use sand eel for the rays here but none were available so it was squid and bluey wraps fished on 3/0 pulley pennals. I fished from just after high 3.5 hours down. A second rod fishing blow lug produced a couple of knocks which came to nothing and the wraps were untouched until the last cast when a doggy saved the blank.
I really enjoyed the session and vowed to not leave it as long before the next time.
Some pics. of the day.
