Mini League
Posted: 13 Jan 2016, 17:10
As you know, we have been trying to arrange a bit of a mini league for some time now.
The idea behind this is to give us something to do when the fishing slows down over the next few months. The league will consist of nothing too complicated and a list of general rules can be found below the first 2 fixtures.
Please note that the matches will run mid-week on evening tides and subject to weather, could change.
Friday 5 February
7.30pm – 10.30pm
Fleetwood Channel
9pm high tide 7.8m
Friday 19 February
7.30pm – 10.30pm
Gynn Wall
9.10pm high tide 7.9m
The league will run for a total of 8 matches with your best 6 results counting towards your final standing.
Points will be awarded for coming 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc right down to last place
Number of points will be awarded to anglers depending on how many anglers fish that particular match. For example, if you come 1st in a match that has 7 people fishing, you are awarded 7 points for 1st place. Then 2nd place would get 6 points and 3rd place would get 5 points and so on until the person in last place gets 1 point.
Entry fee is £5 with winnings being paid on final league standing after the final match on the following basis.
1st gets 50% pay out
2nd gets 30% pay out
3rd gets 20% pay out
Matches will be 18cm+ measure and release with the person having the most cm’s winning the match.
