Pennel Variations

There are severel ways to turn your rigs into pennels. A pennel is basically one hooklength with two hooks to give better presentation for big baits.

Method 1- Simply thread on a second hook to your snood and just wrap the snood line around the pennel hook to secure it.

Method 2 - Another option is to use rig tubing, this is threaded up th snoodline before the pennel hook, then slide it back down over the shaft of the pennel hook to secure it.

Method 3 - The use of telephone wire is the third option, simply wrapped tightly around the hook shaft and the snood

Method 4 - The use of a spade end whip can be used. First tying the knot then passing the tag through the eye of the pennel. This gives the advantage of being completely fixed in position. This is an advantage if a fish is hooked on the top pennell hook.
