Mariner's wharf sat.

Fishing solo today due to Danny having work commitments, and Charlie on a sleepover. Arrived at 9.00am to fish low up to high which was about 3.30pm. Bullnose was chocker and quite a few anglers in front of the flats, found a spot set up 2hook clip-down rig baited with bluey and squid, had a chat with some lads that had come up from Fleetwood the wait began. Thought I would have a cup of coffee, typical rod tip does the whiting dance,no blank. Then the rain started which stayed with us all day, bites getting a bit regular but only whiting, set up my other rod with a 3 hook flapper rig bluey, squid and salted ragworm left over from the dock session last week, changed the hooks on the clip-down to 3\0's bigger baits into the mersey it went, catching regular on the flapper rig only whiting but some were chunky fish so kept busy as soon as bait hit bottom, bite whiting. Had an inquiry on the big bait rod left it nothing reeled in and a greedy rockling had impaled it self on a big piece of bluey on a 3\0 hook fished till hour after high paced up, and the rain had stopped. Took 3 whiting for the table biggest 38cms good day shame about the weather tight lines
0oo0 Finished up with 23 whiting and 1 rockling.
