Made a few texts early last week to get the tribe down fishing the Gynn, unfortunately only Paul could make it.
Getting down on the wall, the weather gave us a grey sky, easterly wind and a bit on the cold side.
Angler numbers were massing, we ended up just past the first steps passed the pool. I set up three rods, with one fishing a pulley, big hooks.
The sea was creeping in at a fair old lick and was as flat as a witches, you know what..
Paul was eager to get started..
On the flip side, i had the Sir Humphrey Brothers for company and a good old
Soon enough, our baits headed west and the wait began. Time passed, we were getting worried.
After an hour a positive knock gave me my first and a nice fish too..
I had to wait a while for my next, a small one from down the side..
We had a lot of boat company today. Soul to Sole was trying his best..
Back to the fishing and it was a case of Spot to Spot..
More spots..
It was getting close to high tide, the sea was still as flat..
The Plaice had taken over..
The other lads had landed fish also..
The ebb started and the fish had disappeared and the anglers weren't far behind. The Turnstones even got bored..
The receding tide was a long haul, the odd fish did show..
The current bun came out..
And so did another Spotty..
All the anglers had deserted us..
Along with the fish. Time to go..
A weird cocktail of bait, had us catching Plaice, no other species entertained us. But............a Super Day
