Throbshire point 11/7/19

Postby Andrew72 » 14 Jul 2019, 15:35

Hi All,
A bit of a late post this one....decided an evening session at throbshire point last Thursday evening 3hours up to HW and 1.5 after. Weather was a moderate westerly on a 7.9 m tide. Bait was swimmers, blow lug, squid in different combos on a one up one down loop rig, it was also a good opportunity to try out my new rod. From the off it as schoolie bass, followed by a stonking sole which I was well chuffed with, plaice more bass and a hound. Now a word of warning ! I can confirm as to stevie A’s previous post if your not watching your rod you may loose it.... I almost did ! Busy baiting up the spare rig when out of the corner of my eye my rod was leaving the tripod with hound attached !!! Luckily I managed to grab it in time and land the hound. A top nights fishing.
