After a busy sesion last night up on anglesey and getting back home in the early hours
i had time to catch a few hours sleep gear back up and then headed back out down the Llyn
with Dyl for a crack at the bull huss, congor, and even a chance of a Tope. :D

A two hour drive was ahead of us plus a good hour and a half clamber down a mountain
too reach the mark we had chosen for the night
we would arrive an hour before low water
and fish the flood up too high and into the pitch black of the night.

We had an hour of day light left so we had a go at the wrasse
before the big baits were launched out into the black abyss of the night.
Dyl had a cracker of a cuckoo wrasse and a truly stunning specimen it was. :D

A few ballan wrasse we still knocking about as dusk approached
and large pollock were jumping all over the place
they kept us entertained but bites were fading fast
as the day fish were taking cover for the night.

Dog fish, poor cod and pouting were now taking over
so it was time too cast the big baits out at long last.

But the weather conditions were changing with the incoming tide
the wind and swell were picking up and along came some very light persistant rain
it was still fine too fish and carry on but a close eye on the conditions was needed from then on
bites were slow but myself and dyl did find a small strap congor each in the 2ld range
and a few dog fish did as always take the big baits with ease.

We both had missed a good take each around the same time
and not too long after that i was hit again but this time i had the fish well hooked
and thanks to Dyls laning skills we had the fish out the sea and up on the rocks safe and sound
a good sized bull huss for just shy of 10lb at 9lb 11oz. :cheer:

High water was here now and the long climb and hike and drive back home
were approaching and with the wind taking a change in direction
we called it safe and made are way back home. :D
