The Blind leading the sighted.
After several fishing trips with my blind buddy Bert he decided to invest in some top gear instead of using mine. He went for the Tronix Cobra GT 14 ft and a cracking this yrs Shimarno Ultegra 14000 XSD with a spool of 60 lb Whiplash braid. He bought this lot on Saturday and was chomping at the bit to christen it. So today was the day wind 16 mph Westerlies plenty of movement on the old briny I would have preferred a little less wind but you can't have everything . Set Bert up with a 3 hook paternoster his choice not mine fresh black and in it went. Needless to say no fish before high water after the tide turned he had his first knock. Bert always like to hold his rod and concentrates all his attention to it. Well at last a small but welcome plaice to christen his new gear it certainly made his day.
Not long after this Jeffs rod was nearly dragged over the railings it was only his reel that stopped it being dragged into the sea. He ran like hell and grabbed his rod me right behind him his rod was going berserk he landed a nice starry smooth hound on a paternoster baited with black. My self I blanked but glad the other two caught.

Nice work Tel, obviously your local knowledge and tackle info put your mates on the fish. That hounds a beauty. Shame you blanked, but that's life...

Great report. I think its really great that you take the trouble to get your mate out and fishing. Its really heartwarming to see your mate so happy with his new gear and fish. All credit to you.
