Stormy Monday

Postby billbob » 28 Jun 2016, 00:12

Fished the Gynn Wall today. I wasn't there for 5 minutes when Rob F turned up and we both set up near to the Go kart track. As the water hit the wall it carried a mass of floating weed and we had to wait some time before we could fish. The waves were quite large and I opted to fish close in with flappers and fresh worm.
Periodically large rafts of floating weed would arrive on the moving tide. Mosstrooper arrived and we picked his brains about the sole and fished accordingly. Not a bite between us.ImageImage
The weed eased off about high water and we could cast a bit further.
Eventually I had enough and baited up for a last cast with one rod whilst I tackled down my other rod. On reeling in my second rod. Guess what, blank saved.Image
Never been as glad to see an eel.
It was good to get a session in because the weather forecast is poor for the next few days.
