Species hunt 2017

My intention is to run the hunt in the north west area as described in the index to areas. We have two distinct borders to the north west coastline which are the borders with Wales and Scotland, so I would propose that the hunt boundaries be Mostyn Quay on the south side of the River Dee to the south bank of the Border Esk. This would enable members based from the Wirral to Cumbria to participate. I am not aware of any members based on the Isle of Man so I would stick to the mainland.
The thing cannot run without participants so we need to sort that out first.

As I have said, if the thing is supported then I will run it. I need to know quite soon though because it needs to be started quickly and certainly by April 1st.

Called in at Gerry's today. Spoke with Chris who was very helpful. He has agreed in principle to sponsor the competition and also offered to produce a card for printing off. He may need a few days to do it but when that is in place we are up and running.

The cards should be out next week and once printed the hunt will be on. I would like to think that a few more would enter, the Morecambe lads are a bit quiet.
