Fished infont of Gordons zigzag,a right arrrse to climb back up ...must take less gear next time....yer right !!!!!!! you can just make out Mrs Gazza
climbing back up after bringing me supper.....bless...shell be kept on.

Arrived at my spot for LW around 7pm and cast as hard as 2 x small eel baits, plus a scratching rig of small bits of sandeel for Turbot 30 yds out.

Dark came and at 20.30 I had a screaming bite on the close in rod a proper thumper that got my attention .........

Image

Really tested the Vercelli Maniac and out of the gloom appears this....he wouldn't flatten out and had the right "ump"

Image

I thought it was a Spotted Ray but today having seen the slightly larger
circles on its back it suspiciously looks like a small Blonde Raymond....
......not sure ....@ 3lb 10oz

Image

anyway,no more Rays but these were ravenous last night......Mr Pout

Whatever Ray species she Is was much appreciated and another Species
from the Sands this season.

It's the first time I've read one of your reports Gazza and looked at the pics and NOT wanted to fish there :lmao:
Gordons zigzag :? more like the Great wall of China mate :D
It'd be a foodless night for me fishing there,Lynn don't do uphill climbs so fair play to Mrs Gazza :cheer:
Excellent report as ever pal :gp:
