Rock Channel/Formby Sat
Tide took an age to ebb at the channel yesterday but we eventually crossed at 4.15pm and got out in between the church and coastguard station...John Wilson stopped a bit shorter and blanked. The strong offshore breeze meant i was emptying my reel on my distance rod,but to no avail as all we could find was lots of crap in the water clinging to the line.An hour before low i reeled in and thought i`d hooked a ray with the dead weight, but i`d got tangled with Bluecats line,so we both reeled in and a hound was splashing around in the surf, but who`s was it : We walked back to get the gear on the beach and saw a hound and a dab beached and luckily enough the hound was mine and the dab was Micks
Another dab for Mick was the total for the disappointing session so off we went to Formby in search of bass.
A glorious evening with a nice surf meant hopes were high of a fish or two...
Atmos
It wasn't long before Mick had the first offer...
I also landed a monster...
The top gulley looked very good with a couple of deep holes and that`s where we thought we`d have some action, but it wasn't to be,with just the one more small fella for Mick to end the night
