Lancaster Canal 11th and 12th August 2022
Weekly report for the Lancaster Canal...with temperatures on the up Thursday i fished down at Forton, the fish were topping all over the canal... but not really interested in my bait.. a few fish caught.
Thursday at Forton

Friday trip .. .just popped into Lancaster.. a few of the barges had moved and what looked like a good peg was once again fishable... 3 pots of chopped worm into the middle track of the canal... fishing hard on the bottom with a juicy worm... temperatures of 32 degrees on the car thermometer.. not a cloud in the sky.. fished a bit later today as the heatwave sets in... not long before the fish arrived ... bream ,roach, perch and 3 big eels... size 20 on 1.5lb bottoms.... lost 3 decent sized fish or eels ... need to step up my gear for next session.
