Perch rock 18.1.2020.

Postby Manchester newbie » 19 Jan 2020, 00:04

Arranged to meet Danny, Ian, Jamie and Charlie at perch rock to fish low water 3hours down and 1hour up,1st on the beach, blue sky but wind was a bit :cold: set up size 1/0, 2hook clip down rig, baited with squid and mackeral. Ian and Jamie next to arrive then Danny and Charlie turned up, so we spread out to the right of the green buoy. First chuck slight indication struck, bloody snag, put a bit of pressure on it came free but still a bit of weight on it, turned out to be clump of weed with 2 leads, clips, swivels and beads, result. Next cast bite, missed it, this went on for about a hour couldn't connect with them, changed rigs 2 hook clip-down size, 2,s circle hooks cast out tip bounced, left it another knock lifted into it, whiting 1for the hunt, few more whiting then a proper bite connected, flounder 2 for the hunt, the others also was catching so none of us blanked, the only draw back fishing the beach was the sand gets everywhere. Tight lines.

Good effort chaps  and fish landed :thumb:
It can be frustrating fishing at Perch, a bit snaggy opposite the bouy . Plus sometimes you wind in against the sand bank, which can loose you fish.
