Out of date flares

Postby tarmacduck » 29 May 2016, 21:23

It was open day at Knott End coast guard station today so I thought I would pop in to say hello and hand in two very out of date flares. I was surprised to hear that they no longer accept them and they must be taken to Liverpool. :groan:

Be Holyhead now wouldn't it, since the bean counters eventually managed to shut the Liverpool station?

All very short sighted these CG cutbacks...I wonder what in practise is actually gonna happen to all these outa date flares around the country. can't see many folk travelling long distances just to deliver perhaps one hand held red. ???
