New to the forum
Hello everyone,
my name is Paul, I’m 46 years old I live in Coppull near Chorley, I have been a keen fisherman since I was around 6years old mainly fishing for freshwater fish, with an odd bit of sea fishing thrown in once a year on family holidays in Cornwall. over the last couple of years, I’ve become a bit more interested in sea fishing I think it’s the chance of catching the unknown so to speak, completely different to freshwater fishing.
Anyway I’ve bought myself a couple of cheap beach rods and a tripod, so far I’ve had 2 sessions in the northwest this year at Preston docks, resulting in a small bass and an eel in May on my 1st session, to a blank in September
I also had a week in Cornwall and I caught small pollack, wrasse, mackerel and garfish
I’m now planning my 3rd northwest session for the Christmas holidays, I’m thinking of trying the Gynn Wall or the 5 bar gate, probably towards the end of next week 2 hours before high, it will be my 1st time fishing in this area and I’m looking forward to it, I have frozen black lug, frozen sand eel, and some frozen squid to take with me.
I will let you know how I get on and try and take some pics, hopefully I can catch a new sea fish species before 2020
