New to me

Just bought my first boat, 15' with a 40hp engine. What can you recommend to get me out on the water, insurance? fish finders? safety equipment? launch points? clubs for info? pick it up next weekend.

I would say the first thing to do is join a club and make friends with as many folk as you can. Where are you planning to launch the easiest spot in my opinion is at Knott End. There is a great club there KESBAC. There is also a coast guard station manned by friendly knowledgable people, they used to run a sea check scheme.
